If You Do What Youve Always Done, Youll Get What Youve Always Got - Jane Jackson Career
If You Do What Youve Always Done, Youll Get What Youve Always Got - Jane Jackson Career There is a fabulous poem by Portia Nelson that illustrates how many steps it takes us to learn how to do things differently in order not to get the same result. Reading it I realise that I have made the same, and similar, mistakes in various aspects of my life from relationships to investments and more over the years. Luckily I have learned to walk down another street. I wonder what these words will mean to you?AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN FIVE SHORT CHAPTERS1.I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalkI fall in.I am lost I am helpless. It isnt my fault. It takes me forever to find a way out.2.I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.I pretend I dont see it.I fall in again.I cant believe I am in the same placebut, it isnt my fault. It still takes a long time to get out.3.I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.I see it is there.I still fall in its a habit. My eyes are openI know where I am.It is my fault.I get out immediately.4 .I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.I walk around it.5.I walk down another street.
